In 1987 Rip Curl invited some of their top pro surfers to participate in a series of super sessions before and during the annual Easter Bells Beach Contest.
They included Tom Curren, Damien Hardman, Nicky Wood, Pam Burridge, Cheyne Horan, Stewart Bedford-Brown, Simon Law, Craig "Scat" Pitchers, Wes Lane, Wayne "Rabbit" Bartholomew, John Shimooka, Brad Gerlach and Bryce Ellis. Extra Surfers Included: Warren Powell, Jamie Brisick, Tony Ray, John Darby, Mister X, Matt Archbold, Richard "Dog" Marsh and Jodie Cooper.
