Bud Browne's surf movie Locked In was voted by Surfer Magazine as one of the best surf films ever made. Features Greg Noll famously wiping out on a 25-foot wall at Outside Pipeline, a sketch that spoofs Adventures of Superman, and appearances from Phil Edwards, Dewey Weber, Buzzy Trent, Peter Cole, Mike Doyle, Mickey Munoz, David Nuuhiwa, Ricky Grigg, Fred Hemmings, Greg Abbott, Bobby August, Linda Benson, Peter Bergen, Midget Farley, Nat Young, Kealoha Kaio, Joyce Hoffman and many more.
The film also features local groms like Rick Raff of Kailua at 15 years old, bookending Pipeline rides by Mainlander surfing hall-of-farmers John Peck and Dick Catri. It also features a young 17-year-old Jeff Hakman at sunset.
